Respiratory Therapists employ scientific principles to diagnose, treat and prevent acute or chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system, such as asthma, COPD (emphysema, chronic bronchitis) lung tumors, Neonatal and pediatric abnormalities, sleep disorders, and other disease and dysfunctions. Respiratory Therapists use a variety of high-tech equipment and techniques to diagnoses monitor and treat respiratory conditions.

Conduct sleep tests and support the patient during the test with oxygen therapy if needed
