Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology hosted a delegation from Nahda College, Sudan represented by Dr. Yonus Ishaq, College Dean and Professor of Pediatrics and Dr. Omar Al-Faky, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in addition to the General Director of Taibah University, Dr. Khaled Al Shahat, who coordinated the visit.
The delegation was welcomed by BMC Dean, Dr. Osama Adnan Kensara, Professor Mohammad Al-Tayeb, Director of Student Affairs and a number of officials. This visit was coordinated by BMC and Nahda College with the purpose of taking advantage of the BMC's vast expertise in the field of medical education, which qualified it to receive the best educational project award in the Middle East and North Africa in 2010.
The visit included a lengthy meeting on BMC approach and future plans, which will be carried out by the transition to e-learning phase. After that, the delegation took a tour around the college and its facilities including classrooms, laboratories and dental clinics and virtual hospital, which provide students with advanced clinical education.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation paid tribute to the efforts exerted by BMC to provide a high-level educational services; souvenirs were exchanged between the parties.
